Physical Expectations:

If you have any special requirements or health conditions that may interfere with the learning process, please contact us prior to paying the deposit. If you are pregnant or trying to conceive, for the safety of you and your baby, please wait until after you deliver to attend class. If you’ve had any type of implants or major surgery within the past 9 months, please confirm with your physician that this gravity assisted massage is not contraindicated for your condition. Each student will give and receive two or more hours of Ashiatsu on the first two days of class. Although Ashiatsu is incredibly relaxing, it is also a deep intense compressive massage that is not appropriate for all conditions.

Whether you are male or female, any therapist that weighs over 200 pounds should contact us to discuss what is expected of your fitness level prior to registration sign up. We are happy to discuss with you through photos and verbal description the upper arm and core strength you will need to deliver a comfortable session to your receiving partner. Having balance and coordination skills are a must. The art of learning effleurage fluidly with the feet can be physically and mentally challenging. A successful learning environment depends on a “team operation” style workshop. If you have any concerns with weight, coordination, sight, hearing, recent injuries, learning disabilities, language barriers or any questionable situation, please let contact us in advance. Our number one priority is client and therapist safety.

Partial CEU Policy:

DeepFeet Bar Therapy has a “no partial credit rule,” regarding our classes and do not offer partial CEU’s. Students must attend and complete every class in which they would like CEU’s for. DeepFeet is subject to the rules of a regulatory body that does not allow partial credit and expects each participant to complete our curriculum in its entirety.  CE credit requirements are strictly enforced in accordance with the rules of the governing organizations such as NCBTMB.

In the event of an emergency, unexpected pregnancy or illness, an exception will be applied if the student needs to leave class. The DeepFeet corporate office must be notified on the day of the occurrence and will then decide on how to proceed on a case-by-case basis. Students must complete the remaining missed hours within 3 months of the course start date in order to obtain CE credits, otherwise, a full retake of the course is required.

Students who do not complete full hours of class, this includes arriving late or leave early. will be ineligible to become certified for class or progress to the next level.  Students must complete and become certified in DeepFeet 1 Basics before they are eligible for an advanced class. Missed hours can be made up with a certified DeepFeet instructor at the student’s expense.  Once the full course hours are completed, the DeepFeet corporate office will issue CEU’s.

Refund Policy:

To reserve a spot in our workshops a non-refundable deposit is required. We pride ourselves in small intimate seminars. This gives 8-10 lucky therapists the opportunity to experience the fundamentals in a one-on-one training environment. We reserve the right to cancel a class up to two weeks prior to the event if there are less than four students registered. This is highly unlikely to happen, in the event that it does we try and give students as much fair warning as possible. At such time, instructors may offer private training for up to $200 more per student or students can choose a  refund, or roll their deposit over to a future training with no penalties.

If you cancel out of the selected workshop you registered for and the scheduled workshop takes place your deposit is non-refundable. A tuition roll over to a future workshop is allowed in the event of a healthcare emergency, pregnancy or injury with a doctors’ note. One week minimum notice is required and the rollover fee is $75. We will refund 100% of the deposit if any canceled workshop is due to our responsibility.  When buying airfare, we suggest using Southwest airlines whenever possible, as they do not have a penalty for changing reservations.

After your deposit is received you will receive confirmation that you are registered for the class and your instructor will be in touch within two weeks of the scheduled workshop. The remaining balance is due to your instructor two weeks prior to class.
