Lynn Smet embarked on her massage journey in 2000, embracing transformative techniques during a 180-hour teacher training in Thai Massage with ITM in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This experience led her to discover in 2005 Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy revolutionizing her approach, while liberating her from strain and injury by utilizing her entire body's power. Falling in love with DeepFeet Bar Therapy, Lynn founded Zama Massage in Portland, Oregon, experiencing not just a thriving business but also a significant influx of new clients. Specializing in sports massage, injury recovery, deep tissue, relaxation, Ashiatsu and Thai massage. After the sale of her business and the birth of her children in 2015 she went back to work, as a spa director at Purple Orchid Resort and Spa in Livermore, California. Now in 2023 she is focused on her private practice and teaching for DeepFeet Bar Therapy. Invited to teach by DeepFeet Bar Therapy in 2017, Lynn's goal is to help students wield their feet as adeptly as hands, thumbs, and forearms, fostering a lasting desire to master Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy and craft exceptional deep tissue Swedish massages. Ashi/Thai Massage is near and dear to her heart. Her guidance steers current students toward integrating traditional Thai massage seamlessly into their Ashi/Thai practice, promising an enriching learning experience filled with depth and expertise amassed over her extensive massage career. Continually evolving, she refines her expertise through ongoing education in myofascial techniques, with Advanced-Trainings, fostering a clinical mindset for longevity in her massage style. Eager to share her wealth of knowledge with certified massage therapists, Lynn offers virtual and in-person courses in Livermore, California, inviting students on an educational journey enriched with depth and skill enhancement.
