My journey into the massage world began in 1998 when I was just nine years old. My mother had enrolled in San Antonio’s Neuromuscular Concepts School of Massage. She would bring me to school with her throughout her program. It was there that I was introduced to the concepts of therapeutic touch by observing her classes and regularly receiving sessions as her practice body. In 2007, she gifted me massage school as a high school graduation present. I enrolled in the same school she had attended and started the very next day after graduating. I could never have imagined that I'd still be here in practice 16 years later, and it wouldn't have been possible without Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy®. After barely two years in practice, my body was already taking a toll due to client demand for deeper pressure. In 2009, I came across DeepFeet and signed up for a class without knowing what I was in for. I'll never forget that class. I fell in love with the fluidity, elegance, and ease that Westernized Ashiatsu offers. I left class with the tools to completely revamp my practice and finally offer my clients the pressure levels they needed without wearing down my body. Within a year of my initial training, I eagerly completed every DeepFeet Bar Therapy® class available. DeepFeet Bar Therapy® has served as a gateway modality into the world of barefoot massage, guiding me to the most reputable sources for additional barefoot massage training. Today, I offer the broadest selection of barefoot massage modalities in the nation — Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy®, Ashi-Thai™, Chavutti Thirumal, Fijian Barefoot Massage, The Rossiter System, Barefoot Shiatsu, Traditional Thai Massage, and SARGA BODYWORK®. To now be a part of the company that has created, innovated, and brought barefoot massage into a new age leaves me overwhelmed with gratitude. Our industry is built entirely upon service, and to be in a position to offer such an incredible service back to the community of my fellow massage professionals is an incredible honor and privilege.
