Pre-Req: Certification in DeepFeet 1

The DeepFeet 2 Advanced course level is best suited for the DeepFeet 1 Basics graduate who has had enough time to acquire some clinical experience and is ready to add to their barefoot tool kit. Students will need the adequate upper arm and core strength in addition to balance and coordination to deliver comfortable two-footed barefoot strokes to their receiving clients. This course also includes transitional and modification strokes which will enable ashiatsu therapists to perform these techniques on most of their clientele.

Theory and lecture will focus on specific back conditions while identifying and qualifying clients for this treatment. At the end of this course, students will have learned advanced strokes utilizing both feet simultaneously. Two footed techniques are greatly beneficial for those who have a long list of athletic clients who never seem to get enough pressure from one-footed strokes alone.

The DeepFeet 2 Virtual Course includes the following:

  • Two Footed Ashiatsu Techniques
  • One footed modifications and transitions
  • DeepFeet Methodology, Benefits, Top Guidelines
  • Table Set up, Equipment, Safety, Supplies
  • Body Mechanics, Contraindications
  • Communication & Terminology
  • Lubrication & Draping, Foot Care
  • Exams, Client Practice Log & Feedback Forms
  • Peer to peer feedback
  • 1-1 final practical exam with a Certified Instructor

The emphasis during the 12-hour intensive course will be on DeepFeet 2 methodology, body mechanics, barefoot application & contraindications.

Each week students will engage with one another for peer to peer feedback and also attend a 1- hour Zoom meeting with a Certified DeepFeet Instructor. Students are required to set aside 5-6 hours of time per week to complete coursework and practice treatments.

The last week of the course will conclude with a 1-hour private practical examination done remotely with your instructor. Coursework includes video instruction, digital lecture, online quizzes, digital evaluation forms, video reviews,  community forum & weekly instructor meetings.

Upon completion, the bodyworker will receive 12 CE credits and become certified in DeepFeet 2.

Our comprehensive DeepFeet Two Virtual Course has been created with the same amount of quality and care that we put forth in our live classroom teachings. We’re here to help you along the way to understand every element of performing the best barefoot massage techniques you can.

This is not a typical home study massage course that only involves a written manual and video instruction. Our course meets the standards of a true Virtual E-Learning experience where students will log into a private secure online platform and follow a detailed course outline while monitored and guided by a certified DeepFeet Instructor. Students are tested on each lesson and must complete all assignments before they are able to move onto the next week of the curriculum. Our number one goal is safety for both the therapist and the client. Making sure you have an understanding of the proper application of two-footed techniques and body mechanics is key to delivering a safe and productive Ashiatsu treatment.

Documented practice sessions and a final virtual exam are required to complete the course and receive full CE credit.  What sets our virtual courses apart from others is that our course content is delivered in a fashion that is interesting,  challenging and most importantly holds students accountable for learning and retaining the content so that you can practice Ashiatsu effectively and successfully beyond your time with us.
