Ashi-Thai™
is the newest technique to hit the massage scene. It’s hip
with a little Zen sprinkled in and the curriculum is the first of its
kind ever introduced until now! Ashi-Thai is an expression
of traditional Thai stretches/exercises that have been
modified to use with bars on the ceiling so no heavy lifting
occurs. The sessions are performed fully clothed without
any oil or cream.
Over the last decade, we have been honored to have many Thai
practitioners take our Ashiatsu courses. During those
workshops, many expressed their love for delivering the
healing art of Thai but complained of wrist and arm pain
from years of traditional palm walking with the hands.
They
enjoy the benefits their clients receive from the stretches
wish they could do it without bending and lifting at the
waist or being on their hands and knees.
After hearing this for years we got busy, did the research
and developed a technique that feels very similar to Thai
massage without the use of hand compression at all.
The
flowing and rhythmic approach was developed for anybody who
prefers the client off the ground, to stretch and loosen the
body before or after a massage session.
Ashi-Thai
will open your mind and heart to knowledge and movement you
didn’t know existed; however it will be something you have
longed for in your practice.
The Ashi-Thai
workshop has been divided into 2 different modules. The
posterior module & the anterior module. You won’t
believe just how in-depth the course study is. The
combinations of techniques
have been arranged following traditional energy lines
and stretches for elongating and relieving tightness in
commonly used muscles groups. A registration packet of
details from what to wear, what to bring, directions and
lodging can be mailed to you from the instructor.
